Co-workers and sisters Simone and Joanne Kennedy get behind the wheel of the brand new Fiat 600 for a spin around Dublin to put some finishing touches on the Business of Beauty Awards preparation.

Did you know that the classic Fiat 500 has a brand new big sister, the Fiat 600? Bigger, better, sleeker, and oh-so stylish, this new model has more space, more features, and improved comfort and versatility, offering you greater freedom when hitting the road.

Compared to the 500, its augmented look features a sharper and more assertive face, a 600-chrome refreshed signature both on the front and on the sides, and a renewed LED lighting identity. The elegant yet dynamic exterior look is enhanced by the bigger wheels (up to 18” and a diameter of 690mm), black matt skirts and wheel arches. Several charming features highlight its exterior lines, such as the glossy black details, chrome accents and shining cues on the rear lights.

In terms of comfort and connectivity, the New Fiat 600 is available with several features that will make every trip a lot more pleasant and joyful. It is available with a hands-free power liftgate, all-powered windows, auto air conditioning, and dusk and rain sensors. A six-speaker sound system, 10.25” fully customisable radio with Navi, CarPlay and Android Auto wireless, a 7” digital cluster and connected services complete the offer.

It is for this reason that the Fiat 600 was the perfect vehicle of choice for big sister-little sister duo Simone and Joanne Kennedy to bring for a spin around Dublin city as they tie up some loose ends on the upcoming Business of Beauty Awards.

Simone Kennedy is our esteemed Events Manager, and Joanne Kennedy is a new addition to our ever-growing team here at IMAGE, stepping into the role of Senior Events Executive. “Six years ago, I moved back home from New York, where I had been working in the fashion industry,” Simone tells us. “After returning, I felt a bit lost and unsure of what to do next. Around that time, my sister Joanne, who was working in events, asked me to freelance with her during a particularly busy period. That was it—I’ve been in the events industry ever since, all thanks to her!”

“We eventually went our separate ways within the industry but we’ve now reunited and are working on the same team again. It’s been so much fun! We get to bounce ideas off each other, challenge one another, and it’s resulted in some of our best work yet!”

Joanne echoes these sentiments: “Working with your sister is a very special thing. You get to spend every day with one another doing what you love most!”

Currently working together to get team IMAGE ready for our tenth annual Business of Beauty Awards event—which takes place on Sunday 24 November—Simone and Joanne have a lot on their plate, and they very kindly took us along on their road trip.

Given that the Fiat 600 is ideal for city living, the girls took to Dublin’s inner city streets to pick out some flowers, try on some rental dresses, and swing by The Leinster to have a logistics meeting with Director of Events, Ciara Cosgrove. Let’s go through the agenda for the day, shall we?

Our journey begins with Joanne leaving her Dublin apartment, stepping into the Fiat 600, and travelling to Castleknock Station to collect Simone. From there, they headed straight to Leopardstown, to browse the collection of rental dresses at Happy Days boutique in the hopes of finding the perfect pieces to wear to the awards.

Naturally, they needed their mid-morning coffee fix, so they made a quick pit stop at the Thru the Green drive-through for some iced lattes before making their way to Phibsborough for a floral meeting with Flowerpop founder Heather Condren. Once they had arrived, they collectively discussed the floral design for the event.

Their final stop for the day was at The Leinster, where the pair met with Ciara for a discussion on the progress they had made for the event ahead. And of course, they enjoyed a very delicious lunch to boot!
