I had never been to The K Club before but had always heard people rave about it, so I was excited to experience it for myself. From the moment we arrived, I could see why it had such a good reputation, from the glamorous interiors to the friendly staff. I would have been happy to spend the entire stay in my utterly luxurious room – with two large windows providing peaceful views, a bathtub so generous it would have been rude not to have a soak, and a bed on which I had an incredible night’s sleep, it had everything I could want.
However, to stay in my room would have been to miss out on the other delights of the hotel. As well as the beautiful meeting rooms we made use of, and the lovely lounge spaces, the grounds are worth exploring too, the perfect place for a walk to soak in the surroundings. And there are plenty of activities on offer, plus the gorgeous spa, should you want more to occupy your time.
The food was also a highlight, with lunch in the Barton Restaurant and dinner in The Palmer Restaurant. I always love to stay somewhere with several dining options, giving you plenty of choice, or the option to dine in different restaurants on different nights. I’d absolutely recommend The K Club to anyone looking for a luxurious break.

This was my second stay at The K Club, and honestly, I loved every minute. The classic decor, beautiful scenery, and impeccable hospitality (particularly from Cesar) are unmatched in my eyes! Once you check in, take a walk on the lovely grounds before heading to The Blue Martini Cocktail Bar to enjoy a couple of margaritas.

As someone who grew up in a golfing household, I knew all about how spectacular The K Club was, and still is, to this day. From the staff welcoming you upon arrival, the food, the rooms, you name it, it was absolutely perfect!
After reminding myself that these are the halls once walked by golfing legends, I took myself on a short walk around the grounds, and to visit the golf course. I had been told the stories of the Palmer North course by my dad, and even some Ryder Cup 2006 stories first-hand. Where Darren Clarke made his comeback after losing his wife the same year, or when Rory McIlroy won the Irish Open in 2016. To my dad, these were Italia ’90-esque memories, and to share them with him, though many years later, was so very special.
I was able to follow the map provided in my room, and have yet to be on a walk that was in any way as beautiful as my time in The K Club!

I’ve been lucky enough to stay at The K Club twice now and both times, I was struck by just how comfortable the beds are – even with two people in them, you could comfortably roll over and still not encroach on your partner’s personal space. The blackout curtains are extremely luxurious too… some people like to wake with the sun but as an incredibly light sleeper, I prefer complete darkness (wax earplugs and an eye mask are the ultimate in sensory deprivation just FYI).
If you’re looking to relax, the spa is a serene spot and I’d highly recommend the Diamond Energy Facial (€165 for a 60-minute treatment) if you’re in need of some pampering. The Blue Martini Cocktail Bar is also a must-visit during your stay – go for the espresso martinis, stay for the giant olives they serve as a complimentary snack.

After our meeting, the team picked up some coffee to go from the Henry Lounge and took them for a stroll around the gardens and the river, where we would have happily spent the day if we didn’t have to rush back to the Blue Martini Cocktail Bar, The K Club’s beautiful and intimate Art Deco bar where we were dying to spend some time lounging in front of the fire and admiring the view of the grounds with the highlight of our last visit to The K Club, the cocktails and bar snacks, which are as good as they come.

From the moment I walked through the doors of The K Club, I knew it was a special place. The warm and friendly greetings from the staff members are what instantly sold me. I felt like I had arrived at a family member’s home and an immediate sense of comfort hit me. Everything from the room (rubber ducky included!) to the food to the facilities was just exceptional. Every corner you turn there are hidden gems and cosy corners to relax in. I genuinely did not want to leave the following morning.

Staying at The K Club was an absolute treat, from their swanky meeting rooms and opulent interiors to their scrumptious food and cocktails – I’m still dreaming about their fresh seafood and hand-crafted whiskey sours. The highlight of my stay, though, was certainly my time at the spa. Before dinner, I visited the relaxing sauna and steam room before cooling off in their large swimming pool with massaging jets and finally, soaking in their outdoor hot tub. It was divine!

A stay that was every inch pure luxury, it’s the details that make The K Club so special. It goes without saying that the sprawling grounds and hotel itself are the finest examples of elegance and sophistication, but it’s the quiet luxury in the plush rugs underfoot, the warmth of service and the feeling of leaving all the noise behind that transport you to another realm. A trip to the spa was a highlight for me. Nothing beats a swim, a world-class massage and an outdoor hot tub at dusk, just me at the most amazing full moon.
The evening was spent with the team, catching up on our day and indulging in creative and delicious food in the plush surrounds of The Palmer restaurant, eventually winding down in the early hours with a tipple or two in the rich jewel tones of the Blue Martini Bar. And just when I thought life couldn’t get much better I had one of the best sleeps of my life cocooned in the most incredibly comfortable bed.
