With custom pieces, natural materials, and considered layouts, this home feels welcoming yet peaceful.

A new-build property on a country estate, this home was in many ways a blank slate for Anam Design Studio to work with. As founder, Liz Huges explains, “Our brief was to design a durable, stylish interior for a busy family home to accommodate the parents along with four children of widely varying ages, creating an environment that needs to be able to roll with the punches for a number of years.”

This project wasn’t just restricted to furniture and accessories – the studio worked to create a cohesive space through floor and wall finishes, the kitchen design, bathrooms, and layouts, including bespoke joinery and furniture.

One space that Liz is particularly proud of is the main bedroom. “This was a unique Anam design. It includes a bespoke timber bed with integrated side tables, and walk-in wardrobes all in a stained oak finish and delivered beautifully by joiner Peter McQuaid.”

The result is a serene, streamlined home, where different spaces feel distinct, yet in conversation with each other.
