When I get a notion I can really dive deep into the theme. It all began with a lighting design concept I thought up for my kitchen – I decided it was all about pastels and it’s become quite the task to get me to look at anything else.
The time I’ve already spent scrolling means that I no longer have to bother because now, I get served up my pastel dreams without even searching for it.
One of the most important rooms in any home is the kitchen. I got a render design for my kitchen recently (see above) which I adore. I have kept most of the units but I did change the island for one with storage and seating which my old one didn’t have. The paint I went for is The Dulux Heritage in Blossom. If chic Barbie had a kitchen it would look exactly like this. If you are thinking of changing up your kitchen, you should look into having it sprayed – it will be just like new. The worktops I chose are from Consentino in a sand colour, keeping within my pastel limits.
I adore beautiful wallpaper and paints, they are essentially the base for your home. I really wanted to focus on how beautiful you can make a room with paints and wallpapers for this piece. I found some amazing murals that have brought such a vibrancy to the ceilings and rooms they have been put into. My aunt Naomi and former art teacher might be getting an urgent call for some artwork soon. It might be nice to have a nod to the Sistine Chapel in your home and I reckon I could haggle Aunty Naomi down with the promise of endless tea and biscuits.
I was once a white and grey girl and now I can’t get enough of colour. I genuinely feel if I walked into one of these bedrooms with such beautiful fabric and wallpaper, I would have the sleep of my life. These rooms feel like they have been dreamt up in a fairytale. If you are planning some house updates, think more colour and less neutral…
