What’s new at Ikea this month? Lamps with speakers, air purifiers and designer vases

Whether you’re looking for some multifunctional tech to enrich your home or just a new accessory for a shelf, Ikea has plenty of new products that we’re betting will fly off the shelves.

Ikea is known for its staple pieces that can be found in homes across the world. But that doesn’t mean they’re not also constantly innovating and trying to find the next new product that we’ll all want to take home.

This January, they’ve in fact launched three new product ranges, all worth paying attention to. Here’s everything you need to know.

Starkvind table with air purifier, €179

new at Ikea this month

We love multifunctional pieces in the home, as they’re great space savers. The Starkvind table cleverly combines a side table with what is often an unsightly product that takes up floor space: an air purifier.

So while it improves the quality of the air in your home, you’ll also have somewhere stylish to rest your coffee. It can remove dust particles, pollen and harmful gases, and can be connected to the Trådfri gateway and controlled via the IKEA Home smart app.

Konstfull vase collection, from €5

Created by iconic designer Ilse Crawford and her design studio, StudioIlse, the Konstfull vase collection features four timeless vases in a range of shapes, sizes, colours and textures, each made from recovered glass and mouth-blown by skilled craftspeople.

The vases were created with Crawford’s signature ethos in mind: to make small, everyday items feel special, and it’s a great opportunity to own a piece by this famous designer.

Symfonisk table lamp speaker, from €179

Another hardworking piece that does double duty in your home, this speaker also functions as a lamp, and is the newest product in Ikea’s collaboration with Sonos.

You can choose from black or white, and they come with either a fabric shade or a glass one, to fit a range of styles. An update on the original speaker lamp in this range, It blends the convenience of a smart lamp with a smart speaker.
