The No7 Pro Artist collection is like having a MUA in your pocket. We ask Christine Lucignano to work through the range and to share some professional-grade application tips.
“What says ‘festive’ more than a perfect party lip? The three new shades of the No7 Pro Artist Matte Muse lipsticks (RRP €19.99 each, currently €13.99 each) are spot-on. I love the prettiness of Rose Couture, and the versatility of Modern Nude, but at this time of year, the scorching Red Carpet Ready has entered the chat!
“The Pro Artist Precision Edit Lip Liners in complimenting shades (RRP €16.99, currently €11.89 each) are so creamy and soft, offering time to work but then they set in seconds, and after that, the product doesn’t move.
“Then I’ll finish with a slick of the No7 Pro Artist Lip Shine Oil (RRP €19.99, currently €13.99 each). These little darlings are juicy! Available in Clear Glaze, Peach Glaze and I’m kinda loving the ever-so-slightly tinted Strawberry Glaze, for non-sticky gloss and that oh-so-subtle touch of flush.”
Christine applies the stronger lip colour at the sides of the mouth, and along the liner, leaving the centre area for a lighter shade for added fullness and dimension. “And if I want to deepen/darken the overall colour, I can go in with a deeper liner.”
Christine uses an eyeshadow brush to apply lipstick “for a prettier, more diffused look…we’re not going for precision here, we’re going full-on feminine”.
Working with a strong colour can be a gamble, especially if you’re in a rush and getting ready against the clock. But should you make a mistake, it’s easy to fix with concealer. “Put it on a separate brush for extra control, and clean around the edges of the mouth. This also helps the product not to budge for the whole night.
