The 15th annual IMAGE Beauty Awards supplement lists the best beauty launches of the last year, in partnership with Boots. The awards are independently judged by Ireland’s leading doctors, dermatologists, beauty professionals, make-up artists, hair experts and influencers.
IMAGE contributing editor Melanie Morris says, “I hope we’ve included some familiar favourites here, along with some future heroes you’ll consider valuable new additions to your beauty bag. We’ve also made sure to pick up plenty of insider pro tips from our expert judging panel and have shared the best with you in the IMAGE Beauty Awards supplement.”
Check out the eight winning day creams chosen by Dr Rosemary Coleman, consultant dermatologist and skincare specialist, Jennifer Rock, CEO and founder of The Skin Nerd online skin consultancy and creator of the Cleanse Off Mitt, Sinead Gallager, aesthetic nurse and co-founder of the Renew Aesthetic Clinics and Dr Jane Mulrooney, cosmetic dermatologist and co-founder of the Dr Mulrooney Clinic.
La Roche-Posay Lipikar Stick AP+ Anti-Irritation Balm, €12
“This is great for kids, phenomenal for the dry skin on my hands, has an anti-itch effect, and perfect for around the nose during flu season.”
– Jennifer Rock
Uriage Roséliane Anti-Redness Cream, €21
“This is super for patients with rosacea – non-irritating, soothing, inexpensive, light and hydrates sensitive skin.”
– Rosemary Coleman
Payot Techni Liss Cica Expert, €30
“There’s no perfume from this, and it would be really good to use after aesthetic procedures like peels and laser.”
– Jane Mulrooney
Clinique Moisture Surge Hydrating Supercharged Concentrate, €45
“It’s really hydrating for younger skin on its own, and for older skin, put a heavier cream over it at night. It’s quite serum-like and definitely gives you a moisture surge. I’d definitely add an extra layer over it.”
– Jane Mulrooney
Guinot Creme Fluide Hydrazone, €67.50
“This has a really nice texture and absorbs really quickly.”
– Sinead Gallagher
Juliette Armand Skin Boosters Hydra Correct Cream, €109
“This is quite light and has the added bonus of peptides, active ingredients, and loads of antioxidants.”
– Sinead Gallagher
Filorga Skin Absolute Day, €129
“This was thick and creamy and felt like a luxurious treat. Good for older skin.”
– Rosemary Coleman
Sisley Black Rose Skin Infusion Cream, €148
“This is expensive, but has a lot of brown seaweed extracts and anti-inflammatory hibiscus extract.”
– Jane Mulrooney
