The best beauty influencer hair looks from last night’s #ImageBOB19 Awards

The style was off the charts last night, but given that it was the Business of Beauty being celebrated, I wanted to honour the best hair looks from the 2019 awards. There were some serious looks served by all the attendees, but these were my personal favourites from Ireland’s hair and beauty Oscars…

Niamh Cullen’s clip creation

@niamhcullenx

This was a work of art – although taking all those clips and beads out after a few glasses of Prosecco might not have been the easiest task, Niamh committed to the style and absolutely nailed the edgy look. Styled by Stephen from Easilocks, Niamh’s hair was the perfect balance between minimalist and maximalist, and was probably pretty low when it came to on-the-night maintenance.

Karen Constantine’s soft glam wave

@lovelygirlybits

Those subtle highlights are so expertly placed that Karen’s glossy, healthy hair looked like there was sunlight on it at all times, even inside the tropically-lit paradise that was the BOB Awards. The night ended with both great hair and great success for Karen, as she took home the silver award for Best Beauty Influencer. I absolutely adore that she sent me this before and after – iconic!

Louise McSharry’s 1920s finger waves

@louisemcsharry

Louise’s hairstylist came into work on his day off to create this masterpiece for her. The 1920s inspired waves worked beautifully with her full-length, sparkling gold gown and “gothic glam” as Louise called it. I’m all about looks that don’t need touching up or maintenance, and this was so perfectly set and completed that it looked just as good when Louise was leaving as it did when she arrived.

Bonnie Ryan’s kimono ponytail

@bonnieryan

Bonnie’s stunning pink and silver silk kimono was perfectly matched by her soft glam make-up and her high pony tail. Again, I love a low maintenance style and this one was held perfectly in place all night. Bonnie also admitted to me that it meant she didn’t have to spend ages washing and styling her hair, which I fully relate to. Keeping it real as always, gal!

Sarah Hanrahan’s tucked-in bob

@I_come_undone

I got chatting to the lovely Sarah about her tucked-in look. Her long, naturally stunning hair was tucked into her dress at the neck, creating a faux bob – how on brand for the BOB awards?! She told me she had booked in to have a ‘real’ faux bob created but it didn’t go as planned, so Sarah improvised last-minute. It worked out amazingly well, I thought. Gorgeous, chic and truly effortless.

Very Honourable Mention

Although not strictly a beauty influencer, nail artist Jo Simpson from Tropical Popical wins my award for hair of the night – I couldn’t take my eyes of her neon green look. Here she is, absolutely rocking it.
