The Celebrity Make-Up Artists You Need To Follow On Instagram

The Celebrity Make-Up Artists You Need To Follow On Instagram

Vote for Ireland’s best Make-Up Artist over on bob.image.ie right now.

I love Instagram. It is my internet safe space. People rarely fight on Instagram. The General Election will never trend there. The fact that it is so easy to ‘like’ a photo by tipping a love heart just further enforces the idea that Instagram is a place of mutual appreciation and admiration. It is the online equivalent of a stranger complimenting you on your outfit as you queue in a caf?.

However, one of my favourite Instagram ‘things’ is to scroll through the accounts of celebrity make-up artists. Leave your adult colouring books at the door, this is my mindfulness. I love how everyone always looks well. I imagine the chats are unreal. I have a feeling everyone is dripping in silky Creme de la Mer concentrate. This is Lifestyle with a capital L.

Here are the accounts that calm my soul and make me want a beauty bag upgrade every single day.

Pati Dubroff

Clients: Lily Collins, Miley Cyrus, Charlize Theron, Dakota Johnson, Kate Bosworth, Kirsten Dunst, Julianne Moore

Why You Should Follow: One of Hollywood’s most respected names, Dubroff has built one of the most impressive editorial resum’s of the past two decades. Vanity Fair, Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar – you name it, Pati’s talent has graced some of the most iconic shoots in recent memory. She’s also a champion of real beauty, accentuating her client’s best features.

pati dubroff

Remember Kylie Jenner’s pared back ELLE UK cover a few months ago? Pati Dubroff. Dakota Johnson’s Fifty Shades publicity tour which heralded her as one of the movie industry’s ing?nues to watch? Pati Dubroff was on living-out-of-a-suitcase duty for that. Kate Bosworth and Kirsten Dunst at this year’s Golden Globes? All Pati.

Pati is also a queen at sharing the treatments and products she rates. She will be the source of all your pay cheque treat yo’self lists.

Mario Dedivanovic

Clients: The Kardashians

Why You Should Follow: Blame this man for the reason your first go on the contour palette merry-go-round was such a messy disaster. Mario Dedivanovic is Kim Kardashian’s go-to man and has seen his star ascend alongside the families. We love his behind-the-scenes snippets into the life of televisions first family and his hilarious memes. If you’ve ever been interested in trying out the transformative powers of strobing, Mario’s Instagram is going to win you over.

Kayleen McAdams

Clients: Rachel McAdams, Jessica Biel, Sophia Vergara

Why You Should Follow: Kayleen is responsible for older sister Rachel McAdams? excellent red carpet record this awards season. The McAdams tag team has seen Rachel work perfect red lips on-and-off with impeccable smokey eyes when the occasion called. Kayleen’s other high-profile client includes Sophia Vergara, who in recent few years adopted the Kayleen way of being. Skin works a healthy glow and it’s all about old-fashioned balance. Work a strong lip, dim the eyes, and vice versa. Kayleen McAdams is a tonic in a era of skin stifling overload.

Charlotte Tilbury

Clients: Amal Clooney, Eva Green, Alicia Kikander, Sienna Miller, Penelope Cruz

Why You Should Follow: Because this woman is a phenomenon. Tilbury was an industry icon before the launch of her eponymous beauty label, now she is the industry. When Charlotte does a red carpet look for a superstar client, they steal the headlines. She a chronic celebrity BFF and is probably in all the best WhatsApp groups – Amal Clooney hired her for The Wedding. That is clout.

Jillian Dempsey

Clients: Kate Winslet, Jennifer Lawrence, Anne Hathaway, Kristen Stewart

Why You Should Follow: Jillian Dempsey never steps a foot wrong. When she works with a star, their profile rockets even further with internet headlines falling over themselves in OMG adulation. She’s got magic brushes or something. Her recent triumphs include Jennifer Lawrence’s Hunger Games European publicity tour last year and Kristen Stewart’s knockout smokey eye at last summer’s American Ultra premiere.

Kate Lee

Clients: Keira Knightley, Rosie Huntinton-Whiteley, Chanel

Why You Should Follow: Indie and international reputation. Lee studied at the London College of Fashion and after graduation the Yorkshire gal worked with photographers like Rankin, Corinne Day and Rankin. Her hipster credentials include 1990s publications The Face, Dazed and Confused and i-D and throughout the noughties she worked with Vogue, Elle and Marie Claire. Her story is definitely a Hollywood one – she moved from London to Los Angeles in the nineties because of Titanic. She was professional and personal pals with Kate Winslet and when the actress? career exploded Lee decided to skip across the Atlantic too.
