Earlier this year, L’Oréal Paris announced that before his death, Karl Lagerfeld had been working with the brand on a make-up collaboration, “fused with a sense of Parisian excellence.”

We knew to expect a campaign built around eccentric Karl-isms and inspired by his favourite quotes and mantras. The campaign has been revealed and it’s a beautiful tribute to Kaiser Karl, with Louis Bourgoin, Soo Joo Park, Doutzen Kroes, Helen Mirren, Ming Xi, Liya Kebede and Luma Grothe with powdered white hair and monochrome suiting, reciting his most famous quotes, such as, “my greatest luxury is not having to justify myself to anyone.”

And of course, L’Oréal Paris is fantastically affordably priced, meaning we can all have a little bit of Karl Lagerfeld creations in our bags, with the entire collection priced from approximately €11 to €17.
“This line of make-up truly reflects the Karl Lagerfeld brand universe and what Karl loved in make-up – he often used eyeshadows as colours in his sketches,“ said Caroline Lebar, Head of Image and Communication at Maison Karl Lagerfeld. “L’Oréal Paris has an inclusive message of beauty for all. Karl liked it when a collaboration resonated with his brand and would make a real impact to many people.”
