With a radio show on 2FM that’s adored by audiences and growing in listenership by the day, Tracy Clifford is at the top of her career game. But what are her beauty secrets and must-haves?
“When it comes to my daily routine, the biggest thing for me is to double cleanse,” says Tracy. “That’s probably why I have so many micro fibre cloths in my bathroom! I like to melt off my make up with a melting gel first then get to the cleansing bit, and once a fortnight I use Image Ageless cleanser.
“I also make sure my brows are done – once I have my brows brushed and filled I feel a little but more groomed. I also always bring my foundation with me (YSL Touche Éclat ) If I don’t wear it, my skin is uneven in colour.”
TRACY’S SKIN PICKS
Cleansers: Clarins Pure Melt Cleansing Gel and Dermalogica Ultra Calming Cleansing Gel
Toner: Is it bad that I skip this step?
Moisturiser: Nivea Q10 with SPF. The best base for dewy makeup. I’d say I have tried every moisturiser out there but I always come back to this. It’s not too heavy, it’s keeps my skin soft, and is refreshing on the skin and is inexpensive. My cleansers are where I seem to spend my money.
Serum: Image Vitamin C. I feel like I’m feeding my skin with nutrients with this.
Eye cream: Argh! I still haven’t found a good one. I always end up looking like I have bigger bags when I use one.
Mask: Charlotte Tilbury’s face mask sheets are unbelievable. My skin is so soft and fresh afterwards
Hand cream: L’Occitane
- Clarins Pure Melt Cleansing Gel, €23
- Nivea Q10 Plus Day Cream, €6
- L’Occitane Creme Mains, €24

TRACY’S TOP SKINCARE TIP
“Water and vitamins do the internal work. And booze makes you puffy, so everything in moderation!”
TRACY’S MAKEUP PICKS
Foundation: YSL Touche Éclat foundation and Estée Lauder Doublewear. I mix the two for maximum coverage with a dewy effect.
Primer: YSLTouche Éclat Primer with glitter bits
Mascara: YSL Effet Faux Cils for the top, and MAC for the bottom lashes
Liner: Rimmel, a brown one, or Catrice in brown for brows and under-eyes!
Palettes/eyeshadows: So many depending on the day or the event. I have the Charlotte Tilbury Rock Chick and Dolce Vita ones, MAC palettes, Urban Decay, Penneys ones. I’m very plain during the week but for nights out I do love a good dramatic smokey eye. I also love Stila eyeliner for a good steady winged line.
Powder: MAC
Brushes: MAC
Contour: Aimee Connolly’s Sculpted highlighter kit is gorgeous and I use that on my face, as a highlighter, and as an eyeshadow.
Lips: My favourite product is my spice lip liner form MAC and I wear it with Soap and Glory Sexy Mother Pucker. It’s like collagen in a tube. It’s a gloss that tingles.

TRACY’S HAIR PICKS
Shampoo: Anything from Kerastase
Conditioner: Anything from Kerastase
Mask: I get Olaplex in my hair every six weeks. It makes your hair so sleek and it is brilliant if you colour your hair. It keeps the hair looking and feeling healthy. I also have to recommend Redken Anti-Snap. It is great for baby fine hair like mine, that’s put under pressure from styling. It keeps my hair strong and healthy.
Hairspray: Elnett
Brushes: My ghd brush is the best thing I have ever used in my life. My hair is so sleek after it.
Tools: I use the salon hairdryer ETI Turbo Stratus 3800. It’s the best hairdryer out there. I bring it everywhere with me as we all know hotel room hairdryers are not the best!!
Extensions: I have hair extensions from Platinum Luxury hair. These are the best hair extensions for volume and are the best quality and are a dream to style.
