Is it just me, or is Nadine Reid absolutely taking over the world? She’s the most gorgeous person both inside and out, and always looks absolutely flawless. Her background in make-up artistry made me want to know what she can’t live without…
“I honestly don’t have set products I always use, except for maybe my hair. I am happy to try new things on the face and body. I will never not clean and moisturise my skin twice a day. I have never got into wearing primers either, I prefer to use a serums to balance my skin’s texture before wearing make-up.”

“I adore an oil makeup remover, it cleanses my skin and leaves the texture feeling moisturised and supple.”
“I use sheet masks when I feel dehydrated or just to remind myself to stop, chill and have a self care moment. They are especially brilliant on long flights or if you have had heating on a lot.”
Nadine’s top skincare tip:
“Simply always moisturise your skin twice a day! in the morning and before bed. At night spend a minute massaging the face and neck whatever oil or cream you use. ‘A wee face massage’ and your skin becomes plumper and more youthful. I believe it’s one of the reasons black skin normally looks so well.”

“Every time I go home to Birmingham, I go for a treatment at a textured hair specialist salon called SG Hair. I have many services and hairstyles, hair extensions, I haven’t yet found access to in Ireland. Sam the owner of SG sometimes flies into Dublin to do my hair for big shoots. I am being brave and have a few consultations booked in Dublin with other hairstylists… fingers crossed someone will be confident to work with my hair type.”
Nadine’s top hair tip:
“If you have curly hair or a version of afro hair, it’s so important to keep it moisturised, especially living in a mostly cold, wet climate. I always choose the high-end hair products that are perfect for my hair texture. The Avlon Keracare line I use is perfect and serves me very well. I couldn’t live without the leave-in conditioner.”
