Handbag-size anything, when it comes to beauty, is essential. But most of the time, palettes don’t really fit the bill (or the clutch). And traipsing around with a clunky, heavy one is no good. Here are some lighter options that cover lots of bases…
The face one
Urban Decay Stay Naked Threesome Palette
The packaging on this one is hardy, you’d have a tough time smashing it for sure. But also, it’s more than just for the face — I often use bronzer shades and highlighter shades as eyeshadow, and have been known to pat blush onto my lips under lip balm to tie in a basic make-up look. So it’s multi-functional and dinky enough to fit the smallest handbag.
The eye one
Huda Beauty Mauve Obsessions Palette
This palette — where would I be without it? It contains the best base shade ever, some of the warmest browns, and stunningly pigmented rose gold and wine shades for going to the darker side. It’s also tiny. Handbag palette of dreams — I’m as obsessed as Huda.
The budget one
Wet n Wild — Color Icon Eyeshadow 10 Pan Palette
€5.95 from pharmacies nationwide
You’re absolutely not going to stress about smashing this in your handbag. First of all because it’s so compact and secure, and second of all, it’s less than €6 — if it smashed, it probably won’t take you long to save for a new one. Not only that, the pigments in this are deadly. And you can use it wet and dry. Handy.
