The new face, actress Marion Cotillard, is one of the most respected French celebrities in Hollywood. She’s fronting a fragrance campaign for the very first time with Chanel No.5…
Chanel announced today that their new No.5 fragrance campaign will star none other than Marion Cotillard.
She’ll front the new advertising campaign for the iconic fragrance, making it the first time the respected French actress will lend her image to a fragrance.
She has been a long-time fan and lover of the Chanel brand, regularly walking the red carpet in Chanel gowns for several movies of hers, including A Very Long Engagement and La Vie en Rose.
Marion Cotillard is possibly best-known for her performance as E?dith Piaf in La Vie en Rose, which won her the Oscar, the Ce?sar, the Golden Globe, and the BAFTA Award for Best Actress. She’s also known for Hollywood blockbusters like Inception with Leonardo Di Caprio, The Dark Night Rises starring alonside Christian Bale and Allied, starring opposite Brad Pitt.
Philanthropy
Aside from her extensive film work, I’ve always been aware of and admired Marion’s philanthropy and environmental activism. She’s even been a Greenpeace spokesperson since 2001.

Chanel call her “authentic, committed and generous” and “the perfect incarnation of French natural beauty”, and as an actress she has always had that je ne sais quoi that people talk about – something I could only ever wish to have.
The new campaign will be unveiled later on this year, and I can’t wait to see what the ads are like. If Keira Knightley’s work with the brand is anything to go by, they’ll be beautiful.
