Setting sprays that will keep your make-up on (even in this heat!)

Setting sprays that will keep your make-up on (even in this heat!)

Setting sprays are never more needed than in hot weather. While we’re unprepared for heatwaves in many ways, a great setting spray is something we can prep for…

I don’t know about you, but my wardrobe is in NO way ready for this level of heat. Thankfully though, my setting sprays are in place and ready to save me from oily, sweaty skin and melting make-up.

Not only do they set your make-up, they’re nice and refreshing to use and many of them even have some subtle skincare benefits too.

Setting sprays I love

All Nighter by Urban Decay is hands down my favourite setting spray. You’ll struggle to find a product that does more to keep your make-up in place than this. They’re all the exact same – the only difference with this one I’ve pictured is that it’s cherry scented and I LOVE the smell. setting sprays

Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray in Cherry

€31 from Debenhams.ie

Arguably the OG setting spray, as the name suggests, this one fixes, preps and primes skin so it can go both under and over make-up. I love how fresh it feels on the skin (Love Island fans might even say ‘refreshifying’) and it’s a make-up artist favourite for a reason.

For anyone with oily skin, this mattifying one from NYX is the dream. It’s only €10 – ideal – and it sets make-up on oily skin like a dream. I use this one on particularly oily days, or particularly sweaty days, and I find it great.

My only piece of advice for this one is to layer it up. I apply a mist when I’ve got my base done, let it dry while I do my eyes and then do a second spray when make-up is finished.setting sprays
