Breaking out? Of course you are. Everything is terrible. Not to worry, there’s a whole lot of incredible and innovative new launches here to help you out and zap an annoying spot. Here are the latest launches to know.
First up, the Clinique ID Hydrating Clearing Jelly and Imperfections Active Cartridge Concentrate. If you’re not familiar with the Clinique ID Dramatically Different range, let me give you a quick lesson. It’s an utterly bespoke serum and moisturiser, entirely personal to you and ready for your custom-building. First, pick your base. Do you prefer a lotion, a gel, a slight tint, or a jelly formula? Next, pick your ingredient cartridge depending on your problem. Do you want to add something soothing for irritation, or perhaps something retexturising for your pores? You get the idea. Well, just added to the range is a Hydrating Clearing Jelly base and the Imperfections Active Cartridge Concentrate. The jelly is featherlight on the skin, oil-free and hydrating as ever while soothing your spots, while the cartridge gets to work on shifting your dead skin and cleaning out your pores.
Are you oily, blemish-prone and looking to make a real investment in your skincare routine? Meet Skinceuticals Silymarin CF, the vitamin C serum for you. It took six years to get the formula this perfect and the results tell you why. With 15% l-ascorbic acid, ferulic acid, salicylic acid and silymarin (which comes from milk thistle), your skin is bright and smooth, while your oil production is controlled (oil oxidation is reduced by 76%) and your spots are zapped.
Looking for something a bit less heavy on the budget?
Garnier Skin Active Pure Active SOS Anti-Blemish Stick, €7.49, will reduce and dry out your spot in five hours. Apply it twice daily to your spot – it’s invisible, not that anyone is gonna see you anyway, and marks will disappear in two days. Salicylic acid, zinc, eucalyptus and niacinamide get to work immediately on soothing, regulating and exfoliating your skin and vanishing your spot.
The Body Shop have also launched a Lemon Purifying range of hand sanitiser, hair and body wash, hand wash, hair mist, body lotion and a cleanser. The vegan Lemon Purifying Face Wash deeply cleans the skin, washes away bacteria, smells heavenly and leaves your skin feeling revitalised and calmed.
If you’re looking for more of a routine, Trilogy’s new Combination range, from €21.95, is rebalancing for combination skin types. There’s a Hemphip Balancing Oil, €24.95 (yes, you should use oil if you’re oily) that feels light on the skin, exfoliates, nourishes and reduces shine. The Clarifying Cleansing Gel, €26.95, contains salicylic acid and witch hazel to thoroughly cleanse and exfoliate combination and oily skin, while the Purifying Cleansing Toner, €21.95, reduces sebum and shine. Finally, the Mattifying Moisturising Lotion, €30.95, feels lightweight and leaves skin balanced.
For acne, Irish company Citrine Healthcare have launched three new products; Benoxor Cream, €15.95, for mild to moderate acne, Triacine Acne Gel, €28.50 for acne with comedones and Ceboderm Cream, €13.95 for sensitive acne-prone skin.
Finally, if your skin needs healing post-breakout, the new Uriage Bariéderm Cica-Daily Gel-Cream is a lightweight gel-cream that will limit bacteria and strengthen the skin.
