Uniqlo have announced the appointment of renowned British designer Clare Waight Keller as its new Creative Director. The former artistic director of Chloé and Givenchy, her first collaborations with the brand flew off the shelves and thanks to those successes, her new appointment will see her lead Uniqlo : C and the brand’s main line offerings. First up is her autumn/winter collection, out September 5, made of affordable, well-constructed staples – think cashmere cardigans and chic coats – that you'll want to wear all season.
“My top tips for the Autumn/Winter season are all about layering: the shirtings, the lightweight cashmeres, the shirts under the beautiful DRY hoodies. Even the coats, which are quite lightweight, can be layered. And for me, that gives the richness and the beauty of autumn and winter dressing. It’s all about those cosy layers that give you that beautiful silhouette.” – Clare Waight Keller
