First look: Diane von Furstenberg launches a new homewares collection with H&M Home this month
06th Apr 2021
Following the success of its Simone Rocha fashion drop last month, high street interiors brand H&M Home has announced an exciting new collaboration with iconic designer Diane von Furstenberg, due to hit stores this April.
Since stepping down as Chairwoman of the Council of Fashion Designers of America in 2019, it appears Diane von Furstenberg has found other things to fill her already-hectic schedule. The iconic fashion designer is getting ready to launch her long-awaited collaboration with H&M Home, bringing her signature style of playful prints and bright colour palettes into the home.
The H&M Home Diane von Furstenberg collection will launch in stores and online on April 16 and includes a range of interiors accessories such as wool blankets, cushion covers, boxes, trays, candles, espresso cups, small plates, vases, pots, posters and a robe. Sticking with an eclectic palette of demure monochrome clashed with neon pinks and peaches with statement prints like zebra, leopard and Diane’s signature kissing lips design.
Diane von Furstenberg, whose DVF fashion house is famed for its wrap dress and eclectic patterns, has found that her time at home over the last few months has given her plenty of ideas. “The home is both a relaxing and empowering place where you can really ‘own’ a look or feel,” she explains. “The only rule I have is that your home should reflect who you are. The main point is to create a space that you’re incredibly comfortable in and is a true expression of your personality.”
The launch follows just a few weeks after Simone Rocha’s sell-out fashion collaboration with the Swedish brand. However, this isn’t H&M’s first interiors collaboration either, in 2019 it teamed up with New York interior designer Jonathan Adler.
We’ve already got our eye on the square pink-orange vase and the arty abstract writing wool blanket. Take a look at the full collection before for yourself.
