Erris Burke: A week in my wardrobe

Erris Burke: A week in my wardrobe

An Irish content creator based between the US, the UK and Ireland, Erris Burke owns her own social media agency in LA. When it comes to fashion, she likes to combine masculine and feminine elements to achieve an aesthetic she calls “tomboy femme”. From designer gems to lucky second hand finds, Erris shares some of her favourite looks with us below.

MONDAY

Monday is a meeting-heavy day for me. I do my weekly check-ins and goal-setting with my social media clients, but first is always coffee – my order is a hazelnut oat iced latte. I like to feel put together on a Monday and for some reason, pairing my Prada loafers with just about anything makes me feel that way. Even though it is autumn, LA is currently still 30 degrees so I paired one of my favourite shirts from a newer brand called Scuffers with some boxers (my hack is buying multipacks of these on Amazon in different colours, that way you can create so many cute outfits).

TUESDAY

LA is always busy with premieres and tonight we headed out to the red carpet for Agatha All Along, a new Disney show. It’s wild that I get to call events like this “work”, but making content has made that possible (so take this as your sign to go post that video!). My girlfriend is a film producer so usually pays close attention to the screen while I do the people-watching on our behalf! This top is a Zara find and comes with a co-ord skirt but I paired it with trousers tonight to make it feel a little bit more tomboy. These trousers are one of my closet staples from COS. Depending on my mood, I will wear the matching skirt or even pair this top with jeans and it really elevates an outfit!

WEDNESDAY

My girlfriend and I are about to launch our podcast (keep your eyes peeled) and we have been busy recording episodes while in LA; today we had our first guest on and already have some fun Irish faces lined up too. This called for a cosy, chilled fit to lounge in for all the deep chats! This hat was thrifted from the Silverlake flea market here in LA – I highly recommend this flea market if you ever visit, it has such great stuff! These trousers are super old from Bershka but have just always been the perfect cargos to throw on. And of course, there is Alfie, the star of the show.

THURSDAY

I recently bought these glasses from Gucci because I wear contacts all day every day (which is definitely not the best for you), and I wanted glasses that I would actually wear and could pair with things that would elevate and not take away from the outfit! This jumper is from Scuffers again, and I paired it with some linen trousers by Reformation for a cosy workday.

FRIDAY

LA is funny because as much as people dress up for big events, like for dinners, it leans more casual! We were headed to Chateau Marmont for dinner which always has a good vibe and the best spaghetti bolognese. I decided to go with jeans, a heel and a long coat which always seems like the perfect mix if you want to feel casual but still like it’s Friday night! My tank is a simple ribbed tank from Brandy Melville, the heels are Zara and are so easy to pair with everything! I added a pop of colour with my red Sandy Liang x BAGGU bag.

SATURDAY

We spent the morning at flea markets today, which is a pretty typical Saturday in LA, so I paired these dungarees with this cute Prada crop top, which I purchased on my birthday last year. I bought these dungarees from Amazon for Coachella last year thinking I may not use them that much but they turned out so much nicer than I expected and I have gotten so much wear out of them! I love wearing mixed metals at the moment as well, so I often pair my Vitaly rings with a chunky custom bracelet from one of my favourite brands Abbott Lyon (this is a perfect spot for a cool custom birthday gift and it doesn’t tarnish).

SUNDAY

On Sunday, we love to host tennis afternoons where we have all our friends over, get some rosé out and do a tournament!  This is actually a one-piece from GymShark which I recently got and love. I didn’t think I would be super into a one-piece workout outfit but it’s such a great piece to be able to throw on and look put together! This Ganni hat was a gift from my mom (she may have to do the next Week In My Wardrobe!) and some New Balance runners to finish it off! Doing social media marketing for numerous brands as well as my own socials throughout the week is what I love, but also makes it really important to have a screen detox on Sundays and attempt to not scroll because otherwise, you can be working 24/7 (if you see a TikTok about our tennis tournament…keep scrolling).
