From to saucepan sets to Rixo dresses and chunky loafers; here’s what’s in IMAGE staffers’ shopping baskets this week.
Cos Straight-Leg Jersey Trousers, €39
I’m on the hunt for comfy, fluid black trousers that will go with everything and work for any occasion. It’s funny how hard it is finding something that should be so simple! I have searched high and low and I think these are the closest I’m going to get. Navy will have to do! – Sophie Teyssier, Senior Social Media Manage
Le Creuset 3 piece saucepan set, €335.20
This year, I have two old friends getting married and I want to get them something special — but also practical. We’ve been married 6 years now and the one gift that we still use nearly every day is a set of pans from Le Creuset. These pans have been through the wars, they have moved house three times with us, and have withstood the arrival of two babies ?— without a scratch on them. It might seem like a boring gift but to me, food is love, so the thought that potentially hundreds of delicious meals will be made with these pans, feels like just the right wedding present. They’re definitely a splurge but are also currently on sale in Brown Thomas! – Dominique McMullan, Editorial Director, IMAGE
Cos Chunky Leather Loafers, €175
I’ve never really been a summer person, so I’m already thinking ahead to my autumn wardrobe. I’m eyeing up chunky black shoes, and currently, these Cos loafers are at the top of the pile. I reckon I could even pair them with a short summer dress until the weather turns colder. – Megan Burns, Deputy Editor, IMAGE, IMAGE interiors
Rixo Meg Leopard Polka Dot Short Sleeve Midi Dress, €340
Stylist Corina Gaffey wore this Rixo dress recently and to say that it’s all I’ve been able to think about since would be an understatement. The cinched-in waist and puff sleeves mean that it’s a really flattering shape, and it’s super versatile so I know I’d get plenty of wear out of it. I also adore the clashing prints – why did I never think to pair polka dots and leopard print together before now?! –Sarah Finnan, Acting Deputy Digital Editor, IMAGE.ie
Avoca Harriet Lambswool Throw, €99.95
Although we’re just coming out the tail end of the warmest heatwave known to man, Galway’s dreary skies are making me look ahead to winter already. I have big ideas for this Avoca lambswool throw. Artfully flung on the back of the couch, gathered tightly around my shoulders or utilised as a makeshift picnic blanket when the mood strikes, this throw and I are going to take on the world together. – Sarah Gill, Staff Writer, IMAGE.ie
