Fashion stylist Sarah Corcoran on her favourite fashion finds

Sarah Corcoran is a director, art director and fashion stylist whose work is heavily influenced by not only her background in Art History, but by her passion for cinema and pop culture.

Her clients and creative projects range from Lifestyle Sports, Jameson and YSL Beauty to collaborating with artists such as Little Dragon and Rejjie Snow.

How would you describe your personal style?

A little bit retro, a little bit rock ‘n’ roll. If I feel like I’m in an 80s music video or B movie, then I’m happy.

The go-to shoe/trainers

I love statement boots. My current favourites are my silver platforms with stars from La Moda and the daytime version I found in the men’s section on ASOS.

The does-it-all coat

My vintage leather jacket – it’s an oversized batwing jacket that my very talented friend @bjornism_ painted the high priestess on the back of. I’m still refusing to take it off, even though it’s summer now.

The perfect jeans

I tend to go for high-waisted and stone-washed – I’m still enjoying the mom style. I prefer them to be vintage or look vintage.

The must-have knitwear

Anything ’80s or ’90s with a ridiculous pattern.

The everyday jewellery

My oversized crucifix from Bauhaus goes with everything!

The wear-everywhere handbag

It has to be my metallic Margaret O’Connor tote or the super kitsch corset bag I’ve kept since the 00s.

The Sunday cosy casual look

I’m very teenage boy vibes when I’m just hanging around the house – probably my Dracula sweatshirt and some tracksuit pants.

The ultimate pyjamas

I like the tween sleepover pjs – like matching shorts and cami with the Powerpuff Girls on them or something.

The party look essential

I love a PVC look when dressing up, especially when paired with some bright colours or metallics, animal print and boots.

The most treasured piece

A dear friend gave me a Gaultier Jeans denim waistcoat from the ’90s, it’s got an amazing print on it and it’s one of my favourite things ever.

The wishlist item

I’ve been eyeing up a lot of Diesel Y2K boots lately, those or some new Hella Heels.

The vintage shop to know

Miss Daisy Blue in Cork. They have amazing pieces from the 1930s – 1990s.

The beauty essentials / self-care ritual

My skincare is extremely simple – I just cleanse and use natural Bio-Oil after, maybe the odd sheet mask, and I try to drink water! As for make-up, I love the classic blue eyeshadow, red lip combo, or bold eyeliner.
