One and done: 10 long-sleeve maxi dresses that are chic and warm

As the mercury drops, we’re reaching for throw-on, long-sleeve maxi dresses that are both warm and stylish

Ah, the humble maxi dress — perhaps the hardest working item in a woman’s wardrobe. You can throw them on at any time of year, for any occasion, and look put-together with absolutely minimal effort. We love them, you love them and, frankly, it’s becoming a bit of an addiction.

But at this time of year, it’s getting harder and harder to dress how we want without layering about 50 jumpers on top. We need sleeves and long lengths to see us through the winter, but we still want to dress in the morning with the least amount of effort.

As always, we return to our beloved maxi dress, but this time, with some chic long sleeves thrown on. These 10 high street options are perfect for winter capsule wardrobes, and we can’t see them going out of style for the foreseeable future (hello, responsible spending). Plus, almost all of them are marked down for Black Friday weekend, so it’s the perfect excuse to invest.
