Whether you’re a lover of leather, suede, flat-soled or chunky block heels, over-the-knee boots have you covered, literally. They’re a cold weather staple that’s great for keeping your legs warm from thigh-to-toe, what more could you what?
There’s been a common misconception about this high-rise boot trend since its introduction way back when; that it’s one for the fabulously tall supermodels of the world. I’m a relatively short person, so I used to steer clear of anything over-the-knee. But today, designers and high-street retailers are creating the statement boot in a myriad of shapes and different heights. If you’re shorter than average (like myself), don’t opt for a style that hits your hipbone; but go for something just above your knee instead. If you’re blessed with height, I suggest going for a mid-thigh style. I’m personally into the sleek black pairs, but I’ve included some print options for our colourful IMAGE gals. Wear yours over skinny jeans or leggings for extra warmth, style them under a winter frock or pleated skirt, or show off your monogram tights by wearing a short hemline. From snakeskin prints and sequin styles, to bold red designs, shop my edit of over-the-knee boots that you can buy as of today:
