15 pairs of heels you can actually walk (and maybe run!) in

Forget sling-backs and mules; they may be on trend but they never make me feel like anything other than an awkward teenager trying my mother’s heels for the first time. Ankle straps, a middle-height court and a good old block heel, on the other hand, make me feel sophisticated and chic without any crippling downside. Here’s my edit of shoes that have form form and function.

Red leather ankle boots, €149 at & Other Stories

Mojo shoe boots in burgundy, €97 at Office

Sand coloured leather heeled ankle boots with tie detail, €79.95 at Zara

Snakeskin print ankle boots, €68 (were €125) at Topshop

Geometric patterned sandals, Prada, €590 at farfetch.com

Gathered leather heeled loafers, €150 at Cos

Velvet heeled sandals, €97.50 at Sandro

Pink snakeskin patterned court shoes, €27.99 at H&M

Green leather eyelet sandals, €80 at River Island

Block heel black suede shoes, €89.95 at Massimo Dutti

Woven leather pumps, Souliers Martinez, €425 at net-a-porter.com

Red patent kitten heels, €135 at kurtgeiger.ie

Kitten heel leather boots, €190 at arket.com
