15 pieces that are perfect for the afters of a wedding

Struggling to decide on what to wear to the afters of a wedding? Here are 15 pieces perfect for the next day of celebrations

I don’t know about you but I love a good afters of a wedding.

My brother is getting married at the end of the month and while I am excited for the day of nuptials, I’m counting down the days until the next day.

The day after the wedding is when the real fun begins. The air is relaxed, the vibration is level and everyone is just feeling a little more zen.

It’s the time when the bride and groom let loose. The people who you barely know have left for home and your nearest and dearest surround you with leftover prosecco and shots of sambuca.

Second-day woes

However, the day after can be quite a predicament when it comes to fashion. What does one wear without looking like they are ready for a second wedding?

The key is to find balance between dressy and relaxed. The dress code is informal, so use it as an excuse to have fun with your look.

Go shorter with the hem, go brighter with the colour and experiment with shapes. Our favourites are the ASOS zebra print suit which is sure to gain a few glances and the Stine Goya metallic dress with its bang on trend tiered shape. Wear yours with killer platform heels and a feather clutch for maximum impact.

The often rigid approach to wedding day dressing doesn’t apply here which means less stress and more success.
