3 New Season Buys You’ll Never Regret

If you’re looking for longevity from your new season buys, take a look at the list below. These pieces aren’t just for SS17, they’re for life.

Gingham may be the material of the moment, but because this cheesecloth print has long-held associations with the beautiful Brigitte Bardot, it will never look out of place worn on a sandy beach or in a Mediterranean village. I love the soft shade of powder blue too. Red gingham can look a little too like a tablecloth for me.

Culottes, like jumpsuits, have been around for so many’seasons that they’ll never not be in style. I adore these gorgeous vanilla white culottes from Zara. The texture will really elevate an outfit, and they’ll look elegant paired with other neutrals.

If you buy one dress this season, make it a shirtdress. In my mind, shirtdresses?are a classic, but they were especially prominent on the SS catwalks this year. I love this piece from & Other Stories, and how it’s styled, with leather trousers. It will look equally good with bare legs or cropped trousers.
