Balmain’s Olivier Rousteing On What Clothes Mean To Him

In the run-up to Balmain‘s highly anticipated collaboration with H&M, the brand’s creative director Olivier Rousteing is opening up about his life and fascination with fashion. The Bordeaux native speaks in the below video about how his childhood in an orphanage led his perception of clothes as powerful world builders. The clip is short, but the French designer who dresses modern icons such as Kim Kardashian, Jourdan Dunn and recently Meryl Streep comes across as humble, gentle and a person totally at one with the transformative power of fashion.
