It’s officially awards season. Last night, the who’s who of Hollywood came together to celebrate the great and good of the industry at the Golden Globes. While who won what award is important, the fashion is too.
In previous years, black and muted tones have taken centre stage. Those classics were still apparent, but it was colour which came out on tops. From vibrant reds (worn by Nicole Kidman and Scarlett Johansson) to powder blues and emerald green (as seen on Jodie Comer), the array of hues brought about a very welcome change. Voluminous shapes and big sleeves were also two key standout trends as worn by Bel Powley.
As always, Billy Porter made quite the entrance in a white tuxedo with a 14-yard feathered train by designer Alex Vinash. Actress Zoey Deutch showed her fashion credentials in a billowing yellow jumpsuit by Fendi which was accessorised with a sapphire diamond pendant necklace and matching earrings. And Helen Mirren once again proved that age is just a number by stunning in a cranberry off-the-shoulder gown by Dior Haute Couture.
