Five new online labels that make us really excited for autumn fashion

It’s time to reinvent your sartorial personality for autumn/winter and here are five online boutiques to help. Ready?

Ghospell

Knockout belted dress, €79 at ghospell.com

Knockout belted dress, €79 at ghospell.com

Meet the modern LBD from London-based brand Ghospell. The label (which launches a new collection online every six weeks) explores the bold and urban elements of modern life through sophisticated and elegant collections. Let this black satin, long-sleeve dress be your go-to for early morning meetings and late dinner events. The dainty floral motif is a surprise twist on this rebellious short mini dress, while the belt and ruffle detailing add a welcome surprise. This dress is made to be paired with coloured tights and a hardy leather jacket.

Polo neck sweater, €99, fringe rhinestone earrings, €49, both at uterque.com

I love Spanish label Uterque because of its wearable and trend-driven take on classic pieces (not to mention its attractive price-point). The label is a sister to Zara, Bershka, Massimo Dutti and other brands in the Inditex group, so there’s a familiarity to it, but it has added oomph. Choose the ribbed knit sweater in powder blue for an unexpected bright burst for autumn and pair it with exaggerated chandelier earrings for a look that says business on the bottom and party up top.

Loeffler Randall

Isla slim ankle boot, €382.66 at loefflerrandall.com

The task of finding the perfect autumn/winter boot can be an emotionally taxing experience, chugging along from shop to shop in search of your own Cinderella moment. Avoid cluttered shops and opt instead for somewhere like Loeffler Randall – an American-based online boutique and bricks-and-mortar boutique that uses time-honoured techniques and raw materials like Italian leather and wool from Bolivia. These chunky, rich navy ankle boots are a sophisticated and modern update on a classic style. The heel height is suitable and comfortable and is enough to get you through the day. The deep, regal navy will contrast perfectly with blush pink and soft beige. (*Note: it’s recommended to go up one half-size for the perfect fit).

Mint and Rose

Cinturón conac belt, €59 at mintandrose.com

Cinturón conac belt, €59 at mintandrose.com

Much like the humble sock, a belt is no longer an afterthought this season. Let your belt sit gently around an oversized smock. Or go longer-length with your belt allowing it to hang like a decoration from your waist. Equally, the simplest of leather belts, like this pale tan leather one from Mint and Rose, above, can take your average, everyday jeans to a new, exciting place and can be a stunning finishing touch. The light tan leather is a fresh update on regular black leather, and the soft nubuck leather strap can be worn with ease. Made in Spain, it’s authentic and sturdy and will withstand plenty of seasonal wardrobe drama, too.

The Loéil

Sukie dress, €151.34 at theloeil.com

Sukie dress, €151.34, Eider skirt, €117.33, both at theloeil.com

Despite originating in sunny Los Angeles, Loéil has a neat penchant for beautiful knitwear and this unique dress and skirt combination is a perfect example of that. With a high-roll neck, long sleeves and over-the-knee length, this bouclé knit dress blends together warm and cosy with modern workwear. A sturdy leather midi-skirt layered over creates an entirely new look that takes this dress otherwise ordinary dress from high-street to high-fashion. This is comfortable wear done right. The brand itself focuses on reinventing tailoring techniques using Korean materials and textiles that have formed the signature look of Loéil.
