Five Of The Best Sandals For Spring/Summer

The sun has come out, and so have our toes! Here are five of my favourite sandals for spring/summer.

I adore these feather sandals from Zara. The rich shade of burgundy through to blush?pink adds a lovely mixture of depth and softness which is enhanced by the fluffy texture of the feathers. Texture is so important to an outfit and it can be more difficult to achieve in summer, so these shoes solve several problems in one. Choose a contrasting coloured nail varnish for a real pop.

These Phillip Lim snake-effect shoes have real bite to them. The almost neon shade of yellow packs a real punch, while the oversized buckle and polished silver studs add an urbanity that balances out the slightly disco-style shade.

A satin finish and?gem embellishment elevates these Uterque summer shoes to something worthy of a cocktail dress. Perfect for day or evening, these sandals have an elegance that will never go out of style.

Gingham is the material of the moment, but how much fresher to wear it on your shoe than on your sleeve? I love these two-tone gingham shoes from River Island. They’ll work with jeans as easily as a skirt. There’s something very retro about an ankle strap too, which ties in nicely with the Brigitte Bardot associations.

For the minimalists among you, these Warehouse leather sliders are timeless. The oversized ring in the centre of the shoe?adds a graphic detail to what is otherwise an uncomplicated classic.
