Gallery: Victoria Beckham Resort Collection 2016

It was only last month designer Victoria Beckham announced she was merging her denim line into her Victoria, Victoria Beckham collection, and we’re already looking at the first collection from this new line. There’s no doubt she’s a very productive woman; the past year has seen the opening?of her flagship London store, a 73 Questions interview with Vogue, and the charity sale of daughter Harper’s wardrobe. The tot’s 25 Stella McCartney, Gucci, Ralph Lauren and Chloe outfits raised thousands of pounds for Save The Children.

Beckham Senior’s new collection is acres of fun, something a little bit unexpected from VB, whose brand is known for its striking, impeccably tailored dresses. This resort collection has a touch of playfulness and looseness , which we’re loving. There are fairly wild prints, florals and architectural frills aplenty ?? it’s all about investment pieces, sure, but they’re infused with real?levity. The kind of levity that comes with confidence. Is Victoria Beckham entering a news space?

Vogue reports that Victoria drew?inspiration from the?”striking colour combinations and graphic motifs of fairground iconography”. Meanwhile, the integration of the denim line sees?the?collection as a whole take on a more relaxed vibe. We’re particularly loving the blue shirt with its slouchy hem and the grey one with the giant waistline bow.

And then there’s her reinvention of the white shirt. Sure, cuffs only get grimy anyway. We couldn’t help but be reminded a bit of? Simone Rocha’s collab with J Brand.
