The fairly low-key (as fashion events go) red carpet that is the CFDA awards brought out a slew of celebrities and beautiful fashion over the bank holiday weekend. Organised by the Council of Fashion Designers of America, guests including Bella and Gigi Hadid, Ciara, and Jennifer Lopez, who all walked the red carpet and mingled with the nominees and winners.

The great Bob Mackie was honoured with the Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement Award, infamous for dressing Cher in more than one of his now cult designs, including her ‘naked dress’ at the 1974 Met Gala and show-girl inspired look for the 1986 Academy Awards.

Style highlights included Jennifer Lopez – who rightfully won the Fashion Icon award – she wowed in vibrant custom Ralph Lauren, epitomising ageless style, model Bella Hadid channelled a 70s disco vibe in Michael Kors Collection and Diane Kruger made the case for chic elegance in a silk cherry-red Jason Wu gown.
