As well as her acting prowess on screen, and long before she Goop-ed, Gwyneth Paltrow was perhaps most noticeable for a rather cringe-inducing Oscar acceptance speech. But her decision to tackle the wellness industry (putting her own luxurious stamp on it, mind you) saw her become a different kind of public figure. One that was subjected to an equal amount of admiration and ridicule, depending on the day, or be it a blog post that might advise you to steam clean your vagina (never do this).
Whatever you might think of steam cleaning such a delicate area, she is a woman who also turned the narrative on the celebrity breakup; she made the decision to publicly announce her conscious uncoupling with ex-husband, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin and, as such, controlled her own story, something that is notoriously difficult to do in modern times.
She has also been give many column inches for her choice to marry again, speaking positively about both the challenges, difficulties as well as the wonder that comes with falling in love later in life.
Just yesterday, she chose to share with the public the joy of her recent wedding day to now husband Brad Falchuk, and it looked suitably Goopy and glorious, as seen over on her official website.

Paltrow is a beautiful bride and, naturally, the focal point is the wedding dress; a stunning white lace couture gown embroidered with flowers, by Valentino – no surprise, given that she and Falchuk holidayed on his yacht off Capri this summer.
Details of the decadent day have also emerged, as Paltrow and Falchuk (“the Faltrows”) served 45 individual carrot cakes (the bride’s choice) and 45 chocolate and vanilla cakes (the groom’s choice) made by Brooklyn-based bakery Nine Cakes.

It was the first real wedding for Paltrow; Paltrow previously eloped with ex-husband Chris Martin in 2003. They share two kids, daughter Apple and son Moses, 12.

“I’m excited about everything! I’ve never had a wedding before,” she said of the plans. ” So even though I’m 45, I sort of feel like a 21-year-old.”
