If you’re on a budget, these sales buys are the best value you’ll get for your money

If you’re on a budget, these sales buys are the best value you’ll get for your money

If you’re on a tight budget right now and can’t afford to invest in luxury brands at sale prices, then don’t despair because there are plenty of incredible buys on the high street at amazing prices. Here are five of the best.

This linen-blend jumpsuit from Topshop costs only €26 now, and it will work hard for you this summer. I love a striped print because, paired with trainers, it exudes effortless chic, but teamed with a blazer and a pair of heels, it’s a print that can take you anywhere. Plus it will never look out of date or out of season. This jumpsuit has a cut-out back with twist-tie detailing, so while demure at the front, it’s quite sexy from the back. If you want to wear it to work in the summer, simply pop a T-shirt on underneath. At less than €30, this is a great buy that will do double duty for work and play.

I bought this dress at full price and I’ve no regrets because I’ve had so much wear out of it already. It offers a modern and elegant take on the tie-dye trend that won’t date. I will wear this with knee-high boots right through winter. Right now, I’m pairing it with either a block heel sandal or flats as shown. It’s still pricey enough at €69.95, but I can vouch for what a great and versatile piece it is, so it’s worth stretching your budget for. I’ll mix it up in winter too by popping a knitted tank top on over it.

I think this is such a chic hooded top. The red coloured detailing punctuates this shade of beige and elevates the piece beautifully. I would pair this with smart trousers or a pleated skirt to create a cool contrast. I love hooded tops worn beneath blazers too as they create an unexpected pairing that feels very “fashion”. I would also layer this over a polo-neck in winter to mix it up a little more.

Pouch pocket tracksuit jacket, €29.99 (was €49.95) at Zara

I’m a big fan of the Premium Quality collection in H&M. It’s worth the extra cost as the pieces really do last. This A-line suede skirt is one of the best sale buys around right now. Down from €119 to just €45, it will have a home in your wardrobe for years to come. I love the slightly retro shape of the silhouette, plus it has pockets (which all skirts should have!). This skirt ties in beautifully with one of AW19’s biggest trends – bourgeois lady. This look is all about sophisticated separates with a seventies hit off them. I’ll be buying this skirt and wearing it with knee-high burgundy boots and a polo-neck in winter. This is a terrific buy.

A pair of navy wide-leg trousers are a wardrobe staple. I adore throwing on wide-leg trousers with trainers and a silk shirt for a really easy but chic look. This model is 5’10”, so I’d have to have these taken up a little to wear them with flats. But it’s worth the extra effort and cost because I find if I can only wear wide-leg trousers with heels, I get far less wear out of them. These trousers are a really budget friendly buy that will offer you plenty of wear.
