Sometimes a collection just grabs you, and Issey Miyake’s SS18 offering has me obsessing over pretty checks and effortless silhouettes. There’s something so easy but on-trend about these pieces and they sum up exactly how I want to dress in spring/summer. In an effort to embrace the Miyake aesthetic at a more affordable price, I found these standout pieces on the high street, and I want every single one.
This dress is so me! The colour has warmth to it, which I need because I’m so pale, it provides total coverage, which I also need, or at least prefer, because of my pale skin, and it creates a really elegant silhouette. It’s made from a very fine knit so could work throughout the seasons with a bit of clever layering.

Jumpsuits are now a staple in my wardrobe, winter and summer. I love this check version from Mango, with its button detailing at the hips. It can be styled with trainers or heels.

These softer pastel shades feel so fresh and are ideal as we move into May. I really like the dipped hemline of the wrap skirt. It adds a subtle point of difference to the piece.

Modern frills don’t have to be pretty, they can be directional too. The combination of monochrome checks and statement frills creates a really modern piece that can be snapped up for just €11.49!
