Kate Moss for Topshop anyone? It feels like we’ve gone back in time writing that but here we are hurriedly flipping through the lookbook for the Brit model’s return collection for the House of Arcadia.
Last year Philip Green and company announced that Moss was returning to Topshop with another collection. Her first designs debuted in 2007 to high-street acclaim but the partnership came to an end in 2010. Since then Moss has continued her high-profile friendship with Green – she holidays on his yacht – and recently joined British Vogue as contributing editor, penning music reviews and styling shoots, and appears on the cover this month. She celebrated her 40th birthday earlier this year and seems to be more vocal than ever in interviews, despite her supposed personal motto of ‘never complain, never explain’.
Her return collection for Topshop seems to reflect her recent aesthetic – long slinky evening gowns with classically cut dresses all jumbled up with fringed jackets. While the collection will be available in stores and online April 30th, some of the pricier pieces will be for sale on Net-a-Porter.com. There is also a revival of some of her previous collections. You might recognize that one-shouldered yellow dress and its new green cousin. We’ve settled on securing that pyjama shirt for our Saturday brunch outfit and decided to make those cute playsuits our midsummer night’s wardrobe.
The collection will also be available to buy in all BT2 stores and Brown Thomas Limerick the day of the anticipated launch. Mark April 30th in your calendar now.
