The only outfit we want to wear this AW is head-to-toe knitwear

We keep seeing knitted co-ords everywhere at the moment and we think it’s going to be our go-to look for this season

Now that summer is over (although I’m still clutching onto bare legs for as long as possible), it feels exciting to contemplate what to wear over the coming season.

We are digging out our wintery pieces from storage and planning what we want to buy for AW. One of the first things on our wish-list? A knitted co-ord.

After seeing co-ords on influencer after influencer all summer, we were getting a little fatigued. Many of them are specifically for evening wear and can look quite cheap. Also, with many of the top halves being cropped, they are not the most wearable.

Styling your co-ord

More recently, the trend has continued for matchy-matchy top and bottom, but now we’re seeing lots of knitted versions. The majority of pieces we’ve spotted so far are oversized jumpers paired with knitted skirts, which look chic, classy and most of all – comfortable.

As wearing a co-ord is more of a statement, opt for one in a neutral shade to start off with. There are lots of camel, grey and black versions on the high street at the moment.

We’ll be wearing ours throughout AW with tights and brogues or boots for work. And we know we’re getting a little ahead of ourselves here, but we can also see them working well in the spring-time with bare legs and trainers.

So, as it gets colder, wrap yourself (literally) head-to-toe in cosy knitwear that’s slouchy, effortless and appropriate for both relaxed weekend wear and the office.
