Lily-Rose Depp has landed her inaugural glossy magazine cover, and we strongly suspect it won’t be her last this year. The teen star has already had quite a start to an undoubtedly promising modelling career: following her headline-grabbing appearance at Chanel’s Paris-Salzberg M?tiers d?Art show last Spring in New York, she then embarked on a lucrative eyewear campaign with the brand and has a number of prominent roles lined up in movies. Not bad for someone who isn’t yet 18. The campaign ambassador looks older than her years on the cover of Love magazine, the British fashion title helmed by stylist and longtime Marc Jacobs collaborator Katie Grand. And if you’re not specifically familiar with the biannual publication, perhaps you’ve seen its cheeky advent calendar videos helmed by the likes of Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid that were all the rage last year.
ICYMI: Why Lily-Rose Depp Is A Name To Watch?
While some of us might mark our 16th Birthday with a lavish party, this up and coming actress celebrated hers by participating in the appropriately themed shoot for the publication.
Depp sports a very on-trend beauty look on the cover – bright make-up is set to be all the rage for the SS16 season – and it is certainly eye-catching. The young model also joins the ranks of big names such as Cara Delevingne, who moved on to mass publications after fronting a similar cover. The 16-year-old told the magazine that she hasn’t set her sights on forging a career in the fashion industry, but is merely embracing the opportunities that come her way: ?Acting is more emotional,? Depp told Love. ?I don’t have any plans, in particular, I just know this is what I want to do and I want to work hard at it, and hopefully keep finding roles as beautiful as the ones I’ve already been lucky enough to come across,? she said.
Despite her famous father voicing his concerns about her blossoming career in the industry, Depp appears to have a firm head on her shoulders, as demonstrated by a highly mature Instagram post?last year. She will star in her first major movie role in The Dancer this year, and no doubt her star will continue to rise as the months go on.
