Looking for something affordable and glamorous to wear to the races? Here you go…

To me, Topshop Boutique is a completely under-celebrated collection that seems to remain under the radar. Perhaps that’s because there’s only a very small edit of it available in Dublin’s flagship store. But pop into Topshop at Oxford Circus and you’ll be floored by the collection of stunning dresses and directional pieces, all of which are affordable. Here’s my pick of the best pieces from the current collection.
My sister bought this dress for a wedding recently, and paired with heels and some glamorous earrings from Loulerie and it looked fantastic on her. This could easily be dressed up even further for a day at the races with a Pretty Woman-style hat and maybe a loosely tailored blazer.
Printed tiered maxi dress, €130
I think this two-tone silk top is stunning and paired with the matching skirt, it would make a beautifully contemporary take on racing day dressing.
Double layer silk top, €84 (was €125)
A simple silk slip dress always looks chic and understated. Nobody does this look better than Sienna Miller, and usually she keeps her accessories and hair simple, adding just a bolt of bold lip colour for impact.
Silk spiral dress, €130
Wide-leg trousers are always an elegant option for occasion wear, and this white pair are are a good price at €125. I love the design detail at the waistband; it adds a nice point of difference. I would dress these up with heels and perhaps a camisole top and jacket.
Wide-leg trousers, €125
For women who like something more form-fitting and sensuous, this cut-out dress is a winner. I love this shade of coral; it’s flattering to most skin tones and can be paired with darker neutrals or fresher metallics.
Roll neck midi dress, €25 (was €60)
