Pyjamas To Snuggle Up In This Autumn

Pyjamas To Snuggle Up In This Autumn

Shorter evenings and colder nights mean one thing to me – it’s time to get back into pyjamas. There’s something about September 1 that makes me covet?those traditional September signifiers, like pencil cases, books wrapped in brown paper and freshly polished shoes. So?I tap into this childhood nostalgia by buying new?pyjamas. I’do this at Christmas too. It’s a tradition I grew up with that I’ve never been able to (well, wanted to) shake off.

I’m a head-to-toe brushed cotton, check pyjama kind-of-girl. But whether you favour cotton or cashmere, here are a few winter warmers to wrap up in this autumn.

This pretty set from River island has a slightly Kimono look to it. The shade of teal and subtle coral flowers make it a very elegant nightwear option.

Floral print pyjama bottoms, €25 at River Island

I love this boyish button-front pyjama top and drawstring-waist bottoms. I’d wrap up in these on a dark evening with cashmere socks and a chunky cardigan.

Striped pyjama shirt, €36 at Topshop
Striped pyjama trouser, €26 at Topshop

This pyjama set has a distinctly “ho ho ho” feel to it, but the pretty lace trim on the pockets and trouser hems add a nice feminine touch.

Red check flannel pyjama set, €35 at Marks & Spencer

I like to mix and match pyjama sets, so Penneys is a great place to pick up a few inexpensive, interchangeable pieces.

Woven blue striped pyjama bottoms, €8 at Penneys
