Stylist Yana McKillop on her favourite fashion finds

From her does-it-all coat, to her party look essential, here are Yana McKillop’s favourite fashion finds.

Yana McKillop is a fashion stylist and brand consultant based between London and Ireland. She has worked as the London fashion editor for ODDA Magazine, and is now the senior fashion editor for PUSS PUSS Magazine. Her styling work has been featured in Vogue CZ, Vogue Portugal, Wonderland, SLEEK, and more.

Here, we get an exclusive glimpse into her enviable wardrobe…

How would you describe your personal style?

I love quite simple beautifully crafted pieces with strong shapes, a lot of black and some interesting elements – a pop of colour, interesting collar, statement shoes. For going out I like to have a bit of fun and wear something more quirky, love feathers and embellishments but always keeping it chic.

The go-to shoe/trainers

My staple trainers for years have been Common Projects as I love their clean lines and interesting muted colour palette. But lately I’m into the leopard ones from the Adidas x Wales Bonner collaboration.

The does-it-all coat

Black, a bit oversized with a cocoony shape – can wear it casually or with a more dressed-up outfit.

The perfect jeans

I love the classic straight-leg model from Toteme with twisted seam, they have great colours and you can play with silhouettes by taking different lengths.

The must-have knitwear

Cashmere crew neck from Uniqlo and oversized grey sweater from Phoebe Philo.

The everyday jewellery

I love Completedworks and Studio Deve — great prices for interesting designer pieces.

The wear-everywhere handbag

Neous box bag with egg-shape closure – simple yet chic.

The Sunday cosy casual look

Favourite relaxed jeans from Toteme, white t-shirt and black Cos hoodie in double-faced wool.

The ultimate pyjamas

For sleeping – anything from Skin. For cool crisp cotton pyjamas that you can wear to the beach in the summer, Tekla. And for going out pyjamas, Sleeper.

The party look essential

A fabulous dress that makes you feel good about yourself, comfortable heels that you’ve worn before and good mood.

The most treasured piece

Silk map-print coat from Old Celine that I had been hunting for on resale for years.

The wishlist item

Anything from the Prada SS24 collection.

The vintage shop to know

Rellik in London and Re-Collection which is mainly online but they host pop-ups in London.

Who to follow for style on social media

I got really bored of all the influencers, so I’m more into people with good taste for a boost of inspiration. My go-tos are @Whatmiuccia, @Lucadistanio, @ngoldenberg, @chloesevigny

The beauty essentials / self-care ritual

I go to SKIN by Olga so whatever she says — I do, mainly Biologique recherche and lots of masks.
