In need of some fashion inspiration? Our Deputy Digital Editor has rounded up some of her favourites this week
After four months of nothing but tracksuit bottoms and old t-shirts sans bra, we’re finally ready to embrace a great outfit again. While it did its best to inspire new combinations of loungewear during lockdown, Instagram really hits its stride when it can show us the real goods – maximalist, colourful clothing to be worn to see others.
This week, a common theme for me seems to be big collars, which show no sign of leaving the world of micro-trends any time soon. From the frilly white wonders that can be found anywhere on the high street, to the more elusive 70’s dagger collar (I’m hoping these will become more popular in the coming months), big collars can transform an otherwise simple outfit, and they’re easy to find wherever you prefer to shop – the 80’s were full of these babies, so make sure to seek them out on your next vintage snoop.
Prints, bright colours, loud accessories, and plenty of life – really, anything that makes getting dressed fun has been on my mind this week. I hope it gives you some inspiration too.
