The wide leg high street jeans spotted on celebrities and street stylers alike
Seen on everyone from Bridgerton stars to influencers, Mango's affordable baggy cargo jeans are an unlikely cult summer hit.
There’s a rather unlikely pair of affordable high street jeans becoming a cult hit this summer. Baggy, low-rise and with, uh, two large cargo pockets, they’re proving an improbable trend – we’re spotting this one particular pair of high street jeans everywhere at the moment.
First, on Bridgerton star Simone Ashley, while she was in New York for the Met Gala, worn with a cropped leather jacket, white tee and trainers. And again on some of our favourite street stylers and influencers – above, Grece Ghanem is wearing them with a pearl button cardigan, Jen Azoulay wears hers with electric green strappy sandals and a cropped bouclé jacket and Tanice Elizabeth with fisherman sandals and a suede shacket.

The jeans in question are a €49.99 pair of straight leg, low waist, oversized cargo style jeans from Mango. They’re from the Committed collection, made with a recycled cotton-blend fabric and produced using sustainable fibres or processes to reduce environmental impact.
Available in two colourways, a summery light blue wash and a Y2K-esque deeper blue, the unlikely denim style Mango has created is a trend set to stick around this summer, with relaxed and baggy jeans seen on the SS22 runways of Balenciaga, The Row, Molly Goddard and Rejina Pyo.
