High street bridalwear is having a moment, and we want in on it (even if we have no intention of getting married)…
It’s fair to say that?Topshop is an unstoppable high-street force. From its?basic wear and denim?collections to the Topshop Unique and Boutique ranges – and now the expansion into?bridalwear – there is no stopping Sir Phillip Green’s fashion army.
Yes, it’s true: Topshop is (finally) launching a bridal range, making walking down the aisle far more affordable and accessible for soon-to-be brides. Details are still a little blurred about the ins and outs of the collection, but we do know that it consists of five pieces of bridalwear as well as a selection of bridesmaids outfits. The first look is to be unveiled this coming April and will include “a capsule collection of bridal and bridesmaids dresses, accessories, and lingerie”.
So far, only one campaign image has been released, and it hints at a vintage-inspired collection. It features Victoria’s Secret model Grace Elizabeth posing in a silk blush gown with floral embroidery at the shoulders and waist, with a matching veil.
Grace Elizabeth for Topshop Bridal
High-street bridalwear is an exciting addition to traditional bridal wear – mainly because of the affordable price point (we would all love to wear an Oscar de La Renta wedding gown, but is it really feasible?). Similar to other high-street bridalwear labels such as?Asos?and Needle &?Thread, the Topshop bridal collection will range in price from €150 for bridesmaid dresses and €600 for bridalwear, and if you’re familiar with wedding dress shopping, you’ll know that this is quite a?bargain…
Judging by the Arcadia Group’s ongoing rising profits and rapid commercial growth around the world, we suspect the popularity of Topshop bridal wear will soar.
You can sign up here to be the first to see the collection come April.
