One of high street store & Other Stories’ points of difference is its cool fashion collaborations. Arty and zeitgeisty, its collabs always capture a mood as well as the public’s imagination. In May, the & Other Stories x House of Hackney collection will hit stores. Given that the latter is known for its exquisite, rich prints and maximalist aesthetic, customers can expect “ready-to-wear, accessories and shoes that encourage a style filled with playfulness and extravagance”. Pieces will have a feminine and bohemian feel in fluid silhouettes, and they will be made primarily of sustainable materials, including organic cotton. If previous collabs are anything to go by, this will be another success story for a high street retailer that seems to be the growing favourite of the fashion elite; stylists and industry insiders continually cite it as their go-to high street label.

If you missed out on JW Anderson’s collaboration with Japanese brand Uniqlo last year (as I did), then mark April 19 (online launch date; in stores April 20) in your diary. The SS18 collaboration will be available to buy and is said to reflect Uniqlo’s core values of thoughtfulness, quality and excellence in materials and functionality. Cotton blouses, flared asymmetric skirts and seagull-motif sweaters (love!) form the bedrock of the collection are are peppered with jaunty striped trousers and cropped linen trousers.
