Any whispers?of our beloved Victoria Beckham‘s plans to create a new clothing range would be greeted with much delight, but this latest announcement by the fashion designer may have quite a few jumping for joy.
Just after debuting her incredible SS16 collection at NYFW, Victoria Beckham has announced she intends to create a ‘more affordable? fashion range for women. Rejoice! We have visions of a possible high street collection, possibly similar to the Kate Moss, Versace and Balmain collaborations with high street stores Topshop and H&M, but Mrs Beckham will be doing this one on her own.
The 41-year-old designer certainly has a higher price bracket in mind when it comes to her current collections, but she has now decided to make a “gorgeous” range that’s accessible to women who may not be able to splash out on her high-end pieces.
“I’d like to create gorgeous clothes for women who can’t afford to pay designer prices,” she told The Mirror.

Victoria said she wanted women to be able to wear her clothing and feel good, regardless of their budget.
“I want to make women feel sexy, whatever their budget is,” she added.
We can see queues around the block and sell-out pieces already. And we can’t wait.
The acclaimed designer also revealed that she likes to take care of her staff, admitting that she wouldn’t be where she is today without them. She explained that she decided to ‘surprise? her staff by introducing them to Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise when he arrived at her design studios to meet her.
She said: “I didn’t tell them beforehand, but he hung out for an afternoon. He turned up in his aviators and leather jacket, looking very Maverick, and the girls nearly died.?
“When he left I said, ‘You wouldn’t get this at Gucci, girls!’ I think it’s important to look after my staff because I wouldn’t be where I am without them,” she added.
Well, we think she’s a contender for a boss of the year for that “surprise” alone.
There’s no word on when her new collection will reach our side of the world, but we hope it is ASAP.
