Oversized, low-rise, vintage, straight leg — what makes a perfect pair of jeans? Five fashion stylists weigh in…
Co-founder of fashion rental platform greens are good for you and personal stylist Kara O’Sullivan
If you want to have more fun with fashion, or find some ways to inject your personality into your looks, Kara is on hand to help with a personalised moodboard and shoppable file of unique, timeless pieces.
“The baggier the better for me. I love a pair of loose low-rise jeans paired with more feminine pieces like a cute top and heels, or you guessed it, ballet flats! I think the baggy style of jeans are the easiest to dress up and down, and can easily bring you from day-to-night.”

Fashion stylist, social media manager, and content creator Ali Byrne
The Cork native draws inspiration from Scandinavian street style, and her pared back aesthetic has a certain edge to it that makes her an instant Instagram follow.
“For me, comfort is key when it comes to denim jeans. I have recently rediscovered my love for a good pair of jeans, and think there is such a good selection out there at the moment depending on your personal style. For me, I think the slouchier the better, as I think they work so well with knits but also look super cute with a more going-out style of top. I’ve recently picked up this grey pair from H&M which are very cool.”
