MONDAY
I just flew into New York from London and, as always, my first stop in this city is Central Park. To me, this is the only place in NYC where the aesthetic changes drastically between the seasons. Usually, I like to travel in comfy sports clothes and this time I chose to pair a Casablanca sweatshirt with Fiorucci lilac sweatpants and Adidas sneakers. There’s nothing worse than catching a cold on a flight, so I layered my outfit with a cashmere sweater from Ralph Lauren underneath. It’s an item I swear by when travelling.
TUESDAY
After an early gym session, I headed to lunch downtown with my girlfriends. My favourite fashion era is probably the nineties which exactly matches the restaurant’s vibe. I opted for a low-rise pencil skirt paired with a maxi vegan leather trench coat, both from Afterhours. I completed my outfit with an Adidas crop top, boots from Maje, a Bottega bag and leather gloves – of course, all in black, including my Maui Jim sunglasses. I love versatile and practical outfits that fit all occasions, so I can make it through the whole day without changing.
WEDNESDAY
In my opinion, the most fashionable time of year is fall/winter because you can just play around and combine many different layers. A must-have piece of clothing that everyone should have in their closet is a well-tailored blazer. Today, I’m going to my favourite vintage stores in Soho where I find my most coveted items. My best vintage finds are always in NYC, like this leather belt. What better occasion for styling my chocolate brown vintage blazer than this? I paired it with leather pants, a turtleneck, Dr Martens and a timeless Louis Vuitton monogram mini backpack. Let’s go!
THURSDAY
It’s shoot day in Brooklyn and we’re in a beautiful loft with breathtaking views over the city. The sun even decided to make a rare appearance too, Today we’re shooting the new collection for my brand, Afterhours. The new collection is composed of wardrobe staples that look good and feel comfortable, perfect for those leading a busy city life. The outfit above is made up of our black tweed jacket paired with the best baggy jeans – they took me a long time to perfect! I also added a pair of vintage earrings I found on yesterday’s treasure hunt.
FRIDAY
Fashion is about expressing yourself and feeling good while doing it. My style in three words would be sexy, classy, and cool. For tonight’s dinner, I opted for an all-white outfit. I love statement pieces like this white blazer from Balmain or some massive pearl earrings. I paired the blazer with an Area dress with a touch of sparkle and Tom Ford Padlock sandals. Who knows where the night can lead in the city that never sleeps?
SATURDAY
The night is young and so are we! For this disco-themed party held at a sceney members club, I chose a shiny mini dress sample that I made a few weeks ago. I had it in my closet knowing that one day I would have an occasion to wear it to, and today is the day. The dress sparkled all night under the disco ball and lights. The groovy moves got me dancing all night in my Zanotti boots. For hair and make-up, I was inspired by Cher, the queen of the seventies.
SUNDAY
It’s my last day in the city and I’m headed on a stroll. I started my walk on Fifth Avenue and walked through Central Park, admiring the contrast of nature’s colours and the immense skyscrapers in the backdrop. As you can see, the most worn item in my wardrobe is probably the leather trench coat from my brand, Afterhours. I matched the coat with black suit pants from Afterhours, an oversized knit muffler and Nike sneakers. I love to pair monochrome outfits with a splash of colour like this Bottega Veneta blue bag.
