GANNI has just launched a sports collection and yes, it’s as cool as you’d imagine

The luxury Danish fashion label has just launched its own sportswear collection.

A favourite at Copenhagen Fashion Week, Danish label GANNI has become the Scandinavian street style staple over the years. The ultimate in Cool Girl attire, it’s one of the most exciting brands to have emerged in the last two decades and we love just about everything they produce.

Majorly revamped by husband-and-wife duo Ditte and Nicolaj Reffstrup back in 2009, the label has been making waves in the fashion world ever since. Ambitious in both their design aspirations and their commitment to positive industry change – they consider themselves a “responsible” brand as opposed to a “sustainable” one given that, at its core, fashion thrives on newness and consumption which is a major contradiction to the concept of sustainability – they’ve grown a cult following of so-called “GANNI girls” on social media and everyone from Dakota Johnson to Bella Hadid and Pandora Sykes is a fan.

Now expanding their offering yet again, the brand launched their new athleisure line just this week which comprises 30 responsible, high-performance sport styles – all made with recycled nylon and polyester and designed for an active everyday.

Speaking of the collection, GANNI creative director Ditte Reffstrup said, “I am so excited that we’re launching a full activewear line, it’s been a long time in the making and we’ve worked super hard to find the right responsible high-performing materials and get the expression just right.

“Our lifestyle in Copenhagen is pretty active whether that means cycling across town, going to the gym, doing yoga or taking long walks. I really wanted to create something that fits the many different ways we incorporate movement into our lives and make it feel super fun and versatile.”

Encouraging customers to “Make every day an adventure”, the collection builds on the active and on-the-go lifestyle reflected in the GANNI DNA, where the city is your playground. Safe to say, I want it all. Take a look at some of our favourites from the new GANNI sport collection below.
