Grown-up denim: 14 sophisticated pieces to elevate your wardrobe blues
28th Sep 2020
Denim doesn’t have to mean boring or basic – a great denim piece can liven up your AW wardrobe
Jeans may be one of the hardest working items in our wardrobe, but we tend to neglect them when it comes to defining our personal style. Jeans, and all denim really, get relegated to ‘throw-on’ status – items that we wear under or over the real stars of our wardrobe, and forget when it comes to making a statement.
But great quality denim that has a point of difference, a real element of style, is hard to beat in an AW wardrobe. Durable, practical and versatile, great denim is a staple, yes, but that doesn’t mean it has to be boring.
When I’m looking for jeans or a new denim piece, I want something that will compliment other items in my wardrobe, but even when paired with basics, can make an outfit my own. You won’t find boring blues or dull denims in the below list – this is all about grown-up pieces that elevate your wardrobe.
